[The floating water changes then in a glow, becoming something a lot more pure before it spills into the pitcher She picks it up and holds it before the snake.]

[ The snake seems to consider for a moment. Then it slides off the lock and curls up around the pitcher, dipping its head in to drink. ]

That could be a few different things...is it a shell? A pearl?

[ The snake says no more for now. ]

I'm going to go look for the answer, but before I go...do you have a name?

[ It looks surprised that she asked that, and it blurts out, insofar as a snake can blurt: ]

Asterion, son of Aidon.

[voreaciously]

["Starry". She blinks, caught off-guard herself, but her voice is very gently fond.]

It's a very beautiful name.

[ The snake seems almost bashful as it casts its gaze away and curls up into a resting state. ]

[She dips her head.]

Thank you for telling me. Ah, I'm Amane...I'm not sure it matters as much, though, but it didn't seem very polite not to give you a name in return.

[ The snake says nothing to that, but maybe it looks at her a moment longer? ]

[ With a last soft hiss, it curls up around the pitcher and says nothing more. ]

[She doesn't seem to mind. She gives a small parting smile.]

From the earth and sea comes a star. Asterion. She wonders if it's a coincidence or not. As far as her knowledge of myths, The Minotaur did not have a parent named Aidon in any interpretation, and yet there is a statue of one here.
